  • Block Ad Blocker enabled for high traffic fansites using free hosting

Websites that generate high amounts of traffic will be required to block visitors who have ad block enabled.

We have already installed it on our top 20 sites according to bandwidth usage.

This is a move we are forced to make due to falling ad revenue which is partly due to the high rise of ad blocker usage.

We understand ad blockers are needed for sites that abuse ads, but our entire network only displays ads which follow the rules. We don't have pop-ups, pop-unders, slide-outs, auto-playing videos with audio or any of the other annoying ads that exist. We simply have regular ads which have zero need to be blocked.

In the future we will likely implement this for ALL "free hosting" accounts that require a banner advertisement.
